‘Cotton County’ – a leading premium discounted apparel retailing brand by Ludhiana based Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd ( NIEL) will soon be inaugurating their 200 th exclusive outlet.
Cotton County which was recently transferred (wef 1st Dec 06) to Nahar Retail Ltd – a 100% owned subsidiary of NIEL, has franchise retail outlets in Tier II and III cities across India. By March 07 the count is expected to touch 250 outlets & by 2010 Cotton County plans to be 1,000 outlets strong.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Kamal Oswal, MD, Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd said “By the end of the current financial year we expect revenues only through Cotton County to be around Rs. 100 cr & by the next financial year the revenues will be approximately Rs. 275 cr. By 2010 we expect revenues to touch the Rs. 1,000 cr mark”
Cotton County strives to offer international quality & styled apparel at very affordable prices. The brand has been successful in creating a distinct niche for itself in a highly cluttered & competitive readymade garments market in India.
“Though we will be further expanding our outlets across the county, we are currently focusing specially on Maharashtra, UP, Bihar & the National Capital Region (NCR). We soon expect to have 400 exclusive outlets covering only these areas. We also have promising plans for Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Kerala” added Mr. Oswal.
Cotton County will soon be launching ‘Femme’ a range of apparel for women & ‘Tazo’ – a wide range of apparel for kids.
NIEL has chalked out a Rs. 814 cr expansion which will be completed by March 2008. The 1st phase of the expansion has been completed.
