The secret behind the success of any womenswear brand lies in the connectivity especially on emotional level, Pradeep Bhandari, Group President, Raymond India Ltd, said at the IMAGES Fashion Forum.
Bhandari shared his views on how to expand the womenswear market through multiple concepts. “Many years ago, women in our country wore only traditional clothes like saree, but today they are in competition with men and also their choice for clothes have changed,” he said.
He added, “The functional basic products are no longer in demand due to the wide range of options available to the customers. The supply chain has to be well figured to build the trust of the customers.”
He also spoke about the upcoming fashion trends among youths and the challenges faced by the apparel companies. He stressed the importance of understanding the demography of the company.
