Wal-Mart has launched the beta version of its new video downloads service, which are available at www.walmart.com/videodownloads. This beta service is said to be powered by new technology from HP Video Merchant Services. It not only has more than 3,000 movie and TV titles from major Hollywood studios and television networks, but also offers customers the option of downloading movies and TV shows to their personal PCs, laptops and portable media players.
The company is the first major retailer to offer video download options with support from all major Hollywood studios. New movies are also available for downloads from the day of the movie’s DVD release.
