ITC’s Wills Lifestyle to set new benchmarks in international fashion

Must Read

Following the success of India’s first-ever Spring/Summer Showcase at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) earlier this month, the WIFW team is gearing up for India’s next big B2B fashion trade event in March 2007. Details of the venue will be announced shortly.

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announced that Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (Autumn/Winter Showcase) will be held from Wednesday, March 21, to Sunday, March 25, 2007, with an additional day – i.e., Monday, March 26, 2007 – solely dedicated to the ‘business of fashion’ for the buyer community.

Rathi Vinay Jha, director general, FDCI, said, “Following the success of our Spring/Summer event earlier this month – evident from the fact that one of our most promising FDCI member designers, Varun Bahl, was selected to showcase at the prestigious Milan Fashion Week through a tie-up between Camera Moda, organisers of the Milan Fashion Week, and FDCI.”

Atul Chand, vice president, Marketing, ITC’s Lifestyle Retailing, said, “We are delighted with the overwhelming response received at the first Spring/Summer edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The association of ITC’s Wills Lifestyle with the country’s most prestigious lifestyle event has been a phenomenal success since its inception, and we would like to take it forward by setting more international benchmarks in the fashion arena. We are confident that the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2007 edition will be a significant step towards this direction.”

Preeta Singh, CEO, PDM, said, “Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, having set new standards, is poised for an even busier Autumn/Winter Week in March 2007. Team PDM is planning several initiatives along with our partners and sponsors to ensure that designers and buyers have an even better business experience.”
