Mother Dairy has planned to aggressively promote its oil brand Dhara and expand the ice-cream and beverages business. Mother Dairy, which is a subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board, is aiming to take its turnover over Rs. 3,000 this year. Last year the company registered turnover of Rs. 2,200.
Fresh milk contributes over 65 per cent of Mother Dairy’s revenues. It has big plans to rework its strategy for packaging and marketing Dhara. The company is looking to expand in new markets with products like buttermilk, curd and yoghurt. It is also planning to expand its product line in beverages category, by launching new products.
