Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd has planned to double the turnover of Depot, its gifts, stationery, music and books retail business, in the current fiscal. Depot has a turnover of over Rs 50 crore in the first year of its operation.
The company has rolled out a standalone store of Depot in Ahmedabad. In a year’s time Depot has expanded from three stores to over 57 stores. The company is going to target smaller cities in the state of Gujarat for expansion. At present Depot has eight standalone stores, and is going to add over 10 such stores in next six months.
