Pepe Jeans, the leading European denimwear brand, has opened its first store in Kuwait. It plans to open more than 8 exclusive stores across the Middle East by 2008-end, according to Liwa Trading Enterprises, Pepe Jeans’ new licensee for Kuwait.
“I am very confident about the brand. It has been very successful in the Middle East and I think a gap exists in this market for high-quality, aspirational lifestyle collections. Pepe Jeans fills this gap and we look forward to accelerated organic growth in the Kuwaiti market as well,” informed Aniss Baobied, general manager, Liwa Trading Enterprises.
Currently, Liwa Trading runs Pepe Jeans exclusive stores at Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre in Dubai and Abu Dhabi Mall in Abu Dhabi. New outlets are planned for Marina Mall Extension (Abu Dhabi), Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Arabia (all Dubai).
The new store at The Avenues in Kuwait will initially have collections of clothing and shoes for men and women. Extended product categories will soon be added.
