After successful launch of one flagship store in Mumbai and Delhi each, Italian brand GAS will soon increase the count by one more in India. The store will open at Bandra in Mumbai.
Not restricting itself to standalone stores, the brand is also available by means of premium shop-in-shop units at Shoppers’ Stop in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, and was recently launched in Pune through Central Mall on Boat Club.
Talking about entering tier II cities, Zohair Officewala, COO, GAS India, says, “GAS will be retailed at various other premium multi-brand outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, and also in tier II cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda, Indore, Jaipur and Goa. We have already rolled out stores in Gujarat and Karnataka. In Gujarat, we are present in four premium MBOs across Ahmedabad, Baroda and Surat. In Karnataka, we have launched in three premium MBOs across Bangalore and Chikmagalur.”
About future plans, Officewala informs, “For 2007, we are projecting 120 points of sale including GAS flagship stores and 20 exclusive brand franchisee outlets in major cities.”
As part of its marketing initiative, the brand has tied up with VH1 music channel. GAS India has associated with VH1’s biggest event ‘VH1 Handpicked’.
