Sahara India Pariwar unveiled its first five-star super deluxe hotel in Mumbai. Strategically located near Mumbai’s domestic airport, the hotel is a fusion of hospitality and entertainment beneath what is claimed to be the world’s largest pillar-less, clear-to-sky dome of its kind. Leading consultants and professionals from the industry who have created wonders like the Millennium Dome in London and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, have been instrumental in shaping this structure.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Kumar, CEO, Hotel Sahara Star, said, “Mumbai is experiencing a strong economic resurgence and is attracting a whole new set of business and leisure travellers. We look forward to providing a unique blend of international facilities with traditional Indian hospitality to pamper discerning travellers.”
Set to open in two phases – Curtain Raiser & Magnum Opus – Hotel Sahara Star presently operates 223 guestrooms including 13 suites, 9 speciality restaurants, Aces – the presidential boardroom, with a seating capacity for 77 guests, over 4,000 square feet of banquet space including a pre-function area, numerous meeting rooms and a fully equipped business centre.
In the Magnum Opus phase, the hotel proposes to have 412 rooms including 19 suites with varied themes, 5 different categories of guestrooms and 48 fully serviced apartments, 13 speciality restaurants, and 2 pillar-less banquet halls of 12,000 square feet each.
