Amway India is set to enter the Rs 500-crore colour cosmetics segment in India within a couple of months.
“Attitude is the brand name for the colour cometics range. Initially, the collection will include six shades of lipstick, four colours in nail enamel, and eyeliner, while more products will be added later this year. All these products are very competitively priced for a price-sensitive market like India. The products will be available with all sales counters of Amway, and can also be bought from the company’s executives and members who are in direct selling business,” a company corporate communication official told Indiaretailing.
Since inception in 1998 in India, the Rs 738-crore company has emerged as one of the biggest direct-selling FMCG players with over 80 products in personal and home care, nutrition & wellness, and cosmetics categories.
Amway is known as a health-and-beauty company across the world. Attitude as a skin products brand from Amway has been widely accepted in India.
“With the phenomenal growth in cosmetics segment, Amway’s superior quality of product offerings will help the company’s sales figures grow,” added the official.
Almost all products from the company are manufactured in the country through six contract manufacturers. Amway has invested around Rs 17 crore in production facilities for these to come up to international standards.
