Luxury footwear brand Jimmy Choo will soon be seen stepping into six new global markets – Mainland China, Russia, Malaysia, India, Turkey and South Africa. The first eight new stores in these countries will open during the next six months and will bring the total number of Jimmy Choo stores worldwide to over 70. Located in key cities around the world, each store will reflect the global design store concept.
In India, Jimmy Choo and Murjani Group will be opening the first Jimmy Choo store in Mumbai this November. Situated in the new luxury shopping mall, The Galleria at Palms, this will be followed by a store launch in Delhi in March 2008 and a total of five stores by 2011.
In Mainland China, the brand will be entering through Pedder Group, a division of Hong Kong-based Wharf Group, and this will be a five-year collaboration. This association will see the opening of 12 locations by 2012. The first store will open in Shanghai in October 2007, followed by Beijing in March 2008.
