While all segments of retail are getting organised, jewellery retail is no exception.
Understanding the need of trained professionals in this segment, Indian Institute of Jewellery (IIJ) is launching a training programme, Jewellery in Organised Retail Management, this month.
“Jewellery retailers approached us for conducting a course to train their employees. We provided customised training programmes in the last one year to industry players like CKC Jewellers of Bangalore and Tanishq. The course has been introduced to meet this specific need of the jewellery retail industry,” said, Vijay Kumar Jatia, chairman and managing director, Modern India Group, the promoters of IIJ.
The institute will provide students with placement opportunities and certified students can expect starting salaries up to Rs 100,000 per year.
