With an aim to touch the 500 stores mark next fiscal, Powerzone, a retail brand from Amara Raja Batteries, manufacturer of industrial and automotive batteries, has chalked out aggressive expansion plans.
The company has opened 12 Powerzone stores in various towns of Gujarat including Vijapur, Wadhavan, Dhangadhra, Dhandhuka, Limbdi, Kalyanpura, Idar, Dabdhoi, Radhanpur, Prachi, Pardi and Gondal.
Powerzone is a retail store that offers products like batteries, tractor batteries, and home UPS for rural households and shops.
“With the launch in Gujarat, the network of Powerzone stores in the state will grow to 28. In all, 20 Powerzone stores are being launched in the western region. The national network of Powerzone stores has grown to more than 80,” said Jayadev Galla, managing director, Amara Raja Batteries Limited.
Apart from Gujarat, the company has added five Powerzone stores in Maharashtra and three in Madhya Pradesh.
