Reliance Retail Ltd today launched its second mini-mart, Reliance Super, at DT Mega Mall, Gurgaon. This is the tenth format of stores from Reliance Retail to be launched in India.
The others are Reliance Fresh, Reliance Mart, Reliance Digital, Reliance Trendz, Reliance i-store, Reliance Footprint, Reliance Wellness, Reliance Jewels and Reliance Timeout. The first Reliance Super was opened in Amritsar in December 2007.
Spread across 13,500 square feet of shopping area, Reliance Super will carry a range of some 10,000 products including fresh produce, food & grocery, homecare products, apparel and accessories, non-food FMCG products, consumer durables and IT, automotive accessories, lifestyle products, footwear, and health and wellness products. The store will also have Reliance’s own apparel brands in select categories.
Commenting on the launch, Raghu Pillai, president and CEO, operations and strategy, Reliance Retail, said, “Reliance Super marks the achievement of another milestone in our effort to unleash a retail revolution in India.”
Reliance Retail Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, started rolling out its stores in November 2006 and today operates more than 472 stores in over 19 cities, spanning 2.5 million square feet.
