In sync with the growing fast fashion trends in the country, Delhi-based exporter Evinix is entering the fashion retailing business through a multi-brand format called Comfortable Urban and Trendy (CUT).
“We call it a ‘rapid retail’ concept as we will offer the latest combinations of clothes in demand, which we expect will sell rapidly. We will be opening two stores in Pune this month, while more openings in tier II cities will follow. The target is to open 200 outlets across the country,” Natraj Shetty, associate vice-president, CUT, told Indiaretailing.
The company has tied up with 40 domestic and international fashion brands, and will offer various style-based combinations.
The first phase of expansions will see CUT outlets in tier II cities including Pune, Nagpur, Sangli, Nasik, Surat and Rajkot.
Founded in 1996, Evinix has been manufacturing headgear and jackets along with accessories including bags, wallets, belts and scarves. It has also been catering to overseas buyers, including brands like GAP and Marks & Spencer.
