Future Group has roped in Shashi Kalathil, Neo Sports’ former chief executive officer, to head its leisure, entertainment, sports, wellness and fitness businesses.
Kishore Biyani, chief executive officer, Future Group, in an issued statement, said, “We have signed in Kalathil to head our business ventures related to entertainment, sports, leisure, health and wellness. However, we are still in the process of finalising other details of the venture.”
Biyani, however, declined to elaborate on specific plans, stating that these were currently at initial stage.
“My mandate is to take forward the entertainment and sports ventures that have huge scope for expansion and growth,” said Kalathil.
Future Group’s current business in this space includes subsidiary company Galaxy Entertainment Corporation, which operates franchisees for The Bowling Company, Sports Bar, Sports Bar Express and F 123.
