Bigflicks.com, the video on demand (VOD) and DVD rental service store has planned to open 500 outlets in 35 cities by March 2009. The company will expand through a franchisee route.
This endeavour is in sync with he company’s plan to be present in all verticals of entertainment business. “We have a motion picture business, a studio, an animation company, multiplexes and it makes sense for us to be present in all segments of entertainment,” Kamal Gianchandani, COO, Bigflicks, said in a statement.
At present, the company operates 21 stores in six cities and plans to open 29 more stores in 10 cities by mid-April this year.
