The Walt Disney Company is planning to open 150 stores in India by next three years.
Roshini Bakshi, regional director, Disney Consumer Products, said in an issued statement, “India is a high-priority market for us, and we plan to open 150 stores for our consumer products by 2011.”
The company has entered into a franchise agreement with Delhi-based Devyani International Limited (DIL) to operate Disney Artist stores in India.
DIL runs KFC and Pizza Hut chain of restaurants and also holds the Indian franchisee of UK’s Costa Coffee chain.
