Within a year of its operations, REI Agro, operators of 6Ten gorcery stores, is confidently planning to expand its business in western and southern parts of the country.
Confirming the news to Indiaretailing, a company spokesperson said, “We have just completed one year of retail operations and have seen good growth. The company has major expansion plans for its chain of 6Ten stores; we will open around 180 stores across the country by next fiscal.”
Speaking to the media, while commemorating the first anniversary of the company’s retail business, Rasheed Khan, general manager (Punjab), REI, said, “With an investment of around Rs 40 crore, we have planned to open 180 retail stores in Gujarat, Mumbai and some parts of southern India, in the next fiscal.”
This endeavour is in sync with the company’s plans to be present in all parts of the country. “This will give us an opportunity to be present beyond Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana,” said Khan.
At present, there are around 355 6Ten stores in the northern region of the country.
