Namdhari’s Fresh, the vegetable and fruit retailing unit of the Bengaluru-based Namdhari Seeds, has planned to open three new outlets in Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad soon.
Confirming this to Indiaretailing, Aditya Vikram, general manager, retail operations, Namdhari’s Fresh, said: “Our next destination will be Chennai and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu followed by Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.”
However, Vikram declined to comment about the time as the details are not yet finalised. “Since we are in the process of setting up back-end facility at these destinations, timeframe within which the expansion takes place can’t be determined at this stage,” he said.
Besides, the company is also planning to open about 25 outlets all over the country. Presently, it operates 19 outlets at Bengaluru, two in New Delhi and one at Ludhiana.
Speaking about their products, Vikram said, “Most of the vegetables are grown by the company either directly at its own farm in Bidadi in Bengaluru, or through contract production. Major fruits are imported after ensuring international quality standards.”
The company, for the current financial year is expecting a turnover of Rs 50 crore.
