S Kumars Nationwide Limited (SKNL), the vertically integrated textile Indian manufacturing company, through its subsidiary MW Unitexx SA, has acquired a controlling stake in one the leading fabric manufacturers of Italy’s, Klopman, for an amount of Euro70 million ($ 107 million).
According to MW Unitexx, the acquisition of Klopman provides various opportunities in the international market, which is growing at a rate of five per cent per annum.
Established in 1968, Klopman is a leading European manufacturer of textile for the work-wear, protective-wear and apparel industries and supplies work-wear to various companies including VW, Toyota, Michelin, German Red Cross, and Ikea.
The MW Unitexx Group has over 60 years of serving the uniform and work-wear market, and is an Indian player fully integrated from manufacturing and retailing apparel.
