Alexander McQueen to expand India ops

British designer Alexander McQueen is looking to expand his label into India by opening around six stores over the next five years.

The designer has signed a retail and distribution partnership with TSG International Marketing Pvt. Ltd, and has planned to open the first standalone store will in New Delhi this autumn.

In addition to the new Alexander McQueen venture in India, the Gucci Group, who owns a 51per cent stake in the business, has also considered opening an outlet in Dubai later this year.
