Mumbai-based real estate developer Oberoi Constructions has announced the opening of their first retail project Oberoi Mall at Goregaon East in Mumbai.
Covering an approximate area of 5.5 lakh square feet, the mall houses various national and international brands that include the Aditya Birla Nuvo-promoted Peter England People, Debenhams, Barbie Fashions, Adidas, Adams Kids, Gloria Jeans Coffee, Giordano, Pepe, Spykar, and Gas. The anchors in the mall include PVR cinemas, Lifestyle and Central.
Announcing their retail foray, Vikas Oberoi, managing director, Oberoi Constructions, said, “In Mumbai particularly, there is a huge gap in supply and demand for high-quality retail space. This is an extension to the boom that we are witnessing in this sector in India. We see a huge opportunity in this sector and believe that Oberoi Mall will provide a wholesome shopping experience.”
For developing the mall, Oberoi Constructions has joined hands with Bentel & Associates of South Africa, one of the renowned architects in shopping centre design globally.
