Kshitij Retail Destinations (KRD) has launched its first mall, Centre Square, in Vadodara, Gujarat. Covering an area of 140,000 square feet and spread across four floors, the mall has a mix of categories ranging from home décor and electronics to lifestyle brands.
Some of the brands present at Centre Square are Levi’s, Benetton, Chemistry, Dockers, Nike, Reebok, Puma, Planet Sports, Adidas, Spykar, Wills Lifestyle, Oyo, Scram, Lilliput, Croma, and @Home. In addition, certain local brands have been handpicked from across the country – among these are Kalanjali, an ethnic accessories label from Hyderabad; Zerostock, a made-to-measure menswear label from Bengaluru; and Trident, a home-furnishing label from Delhi.
Explains CEO Shishir Baijal, “There are several reasons why we are focusing on Gujarat for launching our inaugural mall. Besides the state’s high potential for retail development, it also has very good infrastructure. We have put in a lot of effort to understand the local tastes, and designed our offering accordingly.”
Centre Square, Vadodara, will be managed by Kshitij Property Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Apart from maintaining the facilities, the mall management company will ensure that there are events and promotions on a regular basis. The inaugural promotional event is the Monsoon Shopping Festival, which will include scratch-and-win contests. A large centre space at the mall will provide the setting for events and cultural shows.
