Pantaloon Retail will open more ‘Big Bazaar’ outlets in major towns of Tamil Nadu within the shortest possible period, a senior company official said. The outlets are planned for cities including Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Madurai, Tirunelveli and Tirupur.
The company has also come out with a new scheme of ‘Wednesday Bazaar’ exclusively for women. “The new scheme would create a new weekend for women as, on every Wednesday, facials, mehendi and tattoos will be on offer for free to women customers,” S Dharmendra, senior manager-Operations at Pantaloon, said.
After Tamil Nadu, Pantaloon will also expand in Kerala. “Since Kerala is the strongest market for Pantaloon in the South, four branches will be opened in the state in the near future,” Dharmendra informed.
