Timewear major Timex has announced its plans to introduce three high-end luxury brands in India in the next few months. The company is also launching iControl watches, which connect to Apple’s music device iPod.
Speaking to media, Kapil Kapoor, managing director, Timex Group India, said: “We will launch Ferragamo brand by next month, while another luxury brand Marc Ecko will be introduced by September. We will also bring iControl very soon and are in talks with another international brand.”
The company is looking to expand the number of its retail outlets in the country by adding around 40 stores in the current fiscal. It currently operates 62 stores across India.
“We will open new stores in smaller cities including Lucknow and Coimbatore, and will follow the franchise model for all openings,” informed Kapoor.
