Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), the consortium that manages Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, has invited tenders from interested retailers of food and beverages for opening outlets at its upcoming domestic departure Terminal-1D.
According to a source close to this development, “The applicants must have good reputation and an experience of atleast five years in multiple F&B offerings including setting, operating, and maintaining outlets in India or abroad.”
“This new terminal will replace the existing departure terminal 1B to cater to full service airlines such as Jet Airways and other low-cost carriers and will have the capacity to handle 10 million passengers every year,” added the source.
At present, Delhi airport houses more than 40 food and beverage outlets operated by fast food players and hospitality majors including Welcomgroup and Ashoka Hotels
