Gitanjali Group has announced the appointment of C Subramaniam as the group president human resources of Gitanjali Group, a group having interests in diamond and jewellery, retail, infrastructure and lifestyle businesses.
Speaking about the appointment, Mehul Choksi, chairman and managing director, Gitanjali Group, said, “Employee satisfaction goes a long way in enhancing the overall performance of the company that will take our business to new levels of prosperity and enhance the satisfaction level of the internal customers.”
Subramaniam, on his appointment said, “I am extremely excited to have been entrusted with the task of leading the HR function at the Gitanjali Group at a time when the Indian economy is booming. Subramaniam comes with eighteen years of experience in the HR function. He was earlier employed with Siyarams Silk Mills, Ashai Glass, Videocon International Ltd, Mirc Electronics Ltd (Onida) amongst others.
