Designarch’s ‘e-mall’ to be operational soon

Targeting to provide complete ‘e’ solutions to its residents and to drive them towards e-civilisation, Designarch Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, one of India’s leading real estate developer and promoter, has developed India’s first ultra modern integrated housing cum shopping complex ‘E-Homes’.

Located in Greater Noida, the project is slated to be operational by January 2009. The project houses country’s first e-mall, which is spread over an area of 50,000 square feet and is built with an investment of around Rs 12 crore.

Speaking to Indiaretailing, JK Jain, managing director, Designarch Infrastructure, said, “All the rooms of the apartments will be provided with a touch screen monitor and will be connected to the stores of the mall through CAT6 cable and fibre optics. The individuals can easily place their orders by selecting items from the menu displayed on the screen.”

Commenting on the security lines of the concept, he added, “We are also providing finger print security to every store and adequate surveillance cameras in the mall, which will be connected to the touch screen and in activated mode, the screen will send an email automatically to the responder for any mishappening including theft and fire.”

“Even the residents and the shopkeepers can switch on and off their gadgets like air conditioner, refrigerator, television sets from outside using mobile signals, which will be carried through telephone responder connected to the touch screen” said Jain while elaboring the other features of the project.

Jawahar Shan, vice-president – marketing, Designarch Infrastructure, said, “We have developed our project with a futuristic design in mind, which might become a necessity by 2020.”

Meanwhile, responding to queries about the leasing system and price range of mall space, Jain said, “We are going for partly leasing option which will cost between Rs 10,000 and 15,000 per square foot.”

The mall will also have electronically operated parking space to manage more vehicles in a particular lot and the facility of a centralised vacuum cleaning system.
