Magppie, lifestyle home accessories maker, will open 40 exclusive stores across India in the next 3-4 years, according to reports.
The proposed stores are part of the expansion plan that aims to achieve a turnover of over Rs 4 billion, up from its current figures of Rs 1.25 billion.
Besides strengthening its business in the metros, the company would be opening stores in smaller cities like Jaipur, Chandigarh and Ludhiana.
Magppie, a design led brand for premium home accessories, was launched in 2000. This Indian enterprise is an offshoot of a 30 year old family run business of rolling stainless steel.
The company, which has already invested around Rs 450 million in modular kitchen stores, eyes a big share of the estimated Rs 2000 billion kitchen furnishings market in India.
