The MobileStore was conferred with the “Most Admired Retailer of the Year – Mobile and Telecom” award, at the recently concluded Images Retail Awards 2008, held in Mumbai.
The award recognised and honoured the strides made by The Mobile Store in pioneering and driving the growth of organised telecom retail in India in a relatively short duration of time. This Essar Group venture was launched only in March 2007.
On receiving the award, Rajiv Agarwal, CEO and director, The Mobile Store, said “It is a matter of great honour and pride to receive this prestigious award at India Retail Forum. The entire team at The Mobile Store has worked extremely hard and put in immense effort toward this accomplishment. ”
The Images Retail Awards is the grand finale of India Retail Forum, a congregation of the best retail brands, companies and minds from across the globe, from diverse segments — retail real estate and design and architecture, to visual merchandising, retail support and technology.
The other nominees, in the mobile and telecom space, vying for this position, were Subhiksha Mobile, Airtel, Tata Indicom, Reliance World and Nokia.
