Bengaluru will host the four-day retail jewellery exhibition “Jewels of India – 2008” from October 18 – 21 with the renowned actress, Jaya Prada, as its brand ambassador.
“From reel to real life, I have been fortunate to have been intricately associated with jewellery,” says Jaya “and being associated with the ‘Jewels of India’ show is indeed a privilege and a big honour.”
This is the tenth edition of the exhibition and is a promising one for the jewellery retailers across India. More than 100 exhibitors from India and abroad would showcase their items in this tenth edition of the annual exhibition.
The first “Jewels of India” retail jewellery exhibition was held in August 1999 in effort to accommodate the leading jewelry retailers from all over the country on a same platform.
The 2008 edition of the exhibition will feature a wide variety of jewellery such as exquisite Kundan and Meenakari work from Jaipur, the hand-crafted gold jewellery from Kolkata, antique jewellery and traditional gold jewellery from Tamil Nadu, designer wear diamond jewellery from Mumbai and modern Italian gold jewellery.
Some of the leading names in jewellery industry are also participating in the exhibition including Krishnaiah Shetty & Sons and Ganjam from Bangalore, LH Gold House and GRJ from Chennai, Trivuban Das and Bhimji Javeri from Mumbai, PC Chandra Jewellers and BC Sen Jewellers from Kolkata. Names from international arena include Valentine Jewellers from Hongkong and Myamnmar Jewellers.
