Kesa Electricals appoints new CEO

Kesa Electricals, Europe’s third largest electrical retailing group, has announced that Jean-Noel Labroue has decided to retire. He will leave after a handover period to Thierry Falque-Pierrotin who is joining the Group on January 5, 2009 as CEO.

Falque-Pierrotin joins from PPR Group where he has been chairman and CEO since 2001 of Redcats Group.

David Newlands, chairman of Kesa Electricals, said: “I am delighted to welcome Thierry to Kesa as our CEO. He brings with him substantial experience in European and international multi-channel retailing and I look forward to working with him to build on the strong foundations for growth established by Jean-Noel. On behalf of the board I would like to thank Jean-Noel for his considerable contribution to the group.”
