Soon after the launch of company’s first store in Delhi, German-based adidas Group’s subsidiary TaylorMade-adidas Golf (TMaG), which retails golfing equipment worldwide, plans to expand its presence across the country. The comapny plans to open stores in high streets and malls and will move to other metros soon, said a top company official.
“Because of overwhelmming customers response in the very first week of lauch of our Delhi store, we are very positive about the concept of retailing golf equipments through high streets and malls. We will definitely take this concept to other metros,” said Ateet Gaur, country manager, TMaG.
“We have had some high profile visits like MD of JK Tyres, Marsh Shipping Company etc. It is for the first time that custom fitting is available in India. We have imported a cart called SelectFit in which customers can choose the club of their own specifications. Such unique experience was never available to golfers in India,” added Gaur.
For the recently launched store, TMaG has invested Rs 10 million and is expecting a turnover of around Rs 50 million by this fiscal end.
