RPG Enterprises’ retail arm, Spencer’s Retail is in conversations with several private brands in Europe and America to trade their products in its 400 stores across India, said a company source.
According to the source, Spencer’s is looking forward to grow its revenue from private labels, which has been growing at 50 per cent annually after the tie-up with Woolworths’ Chad Valley toy brand and apparel major BHPC International.
Spencer’s will dedicate about 12,000 square feet floor space to the private brand and target a turnover of Rs 10 million per month. It also plans to set up three stand-alone stores, the first of which is likely to come up in New Delhi early next year, added the source.
