Swiss timewear maker and retailer Tag Heuer, part of LVMH Watch and Jewellery, plans to open two new format stores soon in India. The proposed formats will be opened in Mumbai and Chennai, a top company official said.
Speaking to media on the launch of a special edition watch ‘Grand Cerrera’ in Chennai, Manishi Sanwal, general manager, LVMH Watch and Jewellery, said, “We have proposed to open two new format stores —one each in Mumbai and Chennai, and are in talks with malls for the project.”
“On and average we sell around 10,000 units of watches every year in India and the company has grown up to 40 per cent since its inception five years back. We want to sell around 11,000 units this year,” added Sanwal.
Currently, the company is operational in cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai.
