Mahagun (India) Pvt Ltd, a Noida-based real estate developer, has signed Aditya Birla Retail’s ‘More Megamart’ as hypermarket in its upcoming Mahagun Metro Mall in Vaishali, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The mall will be operational by mid-2009, informed a top company official.
Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Dhiraj Jain, director, Mahagun Group, said, “We have already tied up with Aditya Birla Group, which is going to open around one lakh square foot hypermarket ‘More Megamart’ in our mall. We have also tied up with Satyam Cinema and Action Mania for entertainment zone. Satyam Cinema will open four-screen cinema here. Other big brands like Levi’s, Nirula’s, McDonalds, Nike are also coming in and we are in talks with more such brands.”
“More Megamart with which we have signed for hypermarket is the first chain in NCR. The store will be connected to two travellators that will carry the customers directly from the parking area to the hypermarket and vice versa. So, after shopping, the customers can easily carry their goods through trolley to the parking that will reduce the problems faced by today’s customers while carrying goods from store to the parking space,” said Jain elaborating the USP of the mall.
Spread across ten floors, the Rs 2 billion project offers around seven lakh square feet of retail space up to third floor. The company is also developing service apartments and hotels to home from fourth floor onwards in the upcoming mall.
The company is also developing an integrated township with big retail space in Crossings, which will be completed over the next three years.
