NEC India, subsidiary of NEC Corporation Japan, has launched point of sale (POS) hardware for retail spaces in India. Branded ‘TWIN POS 3500 G1’, the solution would enable retailers to get a feel of the internationally adopted technology, said a company press release.
The launch also marked the company’s move into retail solution segment in India.
David Arambhan, head, retail solutions, NEC India, said, “Our aim is to enhance the capability of the Indian retail segment to handle its operations in a more structured and effective way. The models cover all formats of retail and we will soon foray into the entire gamut of retail solutions offering both hardware and software solutions in the retail space. One of the key differentiator of this product line would be Japanese quality at Indian prices.”
Leveraging over 30 years of its global expertise in the retail segment, NEC has studied the nuances and challenges of the Indian market and has designed its POS hardware to handle installation in all parts of the country. The machine offers excellent up-time and total cost of ownership (TCO) ensuring good return on investment to its customers, added the release.
