In a tragic incident, a fire broke out in one of the finishing units of apparel major Koutons Retail India Ltd. The unit is located at Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana. The incident took place on December 3.
While the company claims, through a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange, that the unit was fully insured, the figure of estimated loss is being assessed by the insurance company.
However, when IndiaRetailing approached the company for details, the officials remained tightlipped about the incident.
