Dabur India’s Amit Burman-promoted, Lite Bite Foods plans to set up food courts on highways, under its high street food court brand, Food Union Clix, said a top company official.
“We have already started setting up food courts of 5,000 square feet offering six brands on high streets. Now, we have headed to the highways” Anil Burman, vice chairman, Dabur India said.
Lite Bite Foods, with 40 outlets currently, expects to close the year with 60 outlets, and add another 100 next year, informed Burman.
“We are looking at an investment of Rs 5 billion in four years. With Lite Bite Foods, we are attempting to be a restaurant chain company,” added Burman.
While it has launched Food Union Clix! at Lajpat Nagar and East of Kailash in New Delhi, it also has an understanding with cinema chain, PVR to manage food courts on some of its premises.
