Chandigarh-based Sagri Group, a leading group engaged in poultry business, eyes to make its foray into poultry retail business, said a top company official.
“The chicken processing plant at Chanalon, Ropar has already been commissioned and would be fully operational within a week,” said Surjit Singh, chairman, Sagri Group.
The group, with constituents in its fold including Sagri Hatcheries, Sagri Foods and Sagri Fresh Foods, has also inked deals with Reliance Fresh and Wal-Mart to sell its products to the retail majors.
