In an attempt to achieve pan-India presence, Lancome, a luxury beauty brand from L’Oreal, has opened its new store in Bengaluru. Further the company also plans to open four more such stores. “We are planning to open four more stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru by 2009.” said Julie De Clermont Tonnerre, marketing manager — luxury products division, L’Oreal India.
“We are looking at all models of retailing — stand-alone or shop-in-shop format,” added Dinesh Dayal, director, L’Oreal India.
With over nine per cent market share worldwide in the segment, Lancome currently operates 10 stores in India that include six stores in Delhi, two in Mumbai and one store each in Pune and Bengaluru.
