In an initiative to make the film Ghajini more accessible to hearing-impaired and non-Hindi speaking people, BIG Cinemas, part of Anil Ambani-led Reliance ADA Group, will screen the film with English subtitles in selective theatres next week, according to a company press release.
Tushar Dhingra, COO, BIG Cinemas, said, “This move will ensure that the cinema medium can be enjoyed more completely by a larger number of the public, especially the hearing impaired who could not understand the dialogues.”
“The release of Ghajini, an eagerly awaited film, was an ideal way for us to start offering this facility. This will set a trend for future releases,” added Dhingra.
The company plans this special screening at BIG Cinemas Wadala and Metro BIG Cinemas, both in Mumbai, with no added cost, added the release.
