Kwality Walls, Hindustan Unilever Ltd’s master brand for ice creams, has opened its European concept parlour Swirl’s at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad. The information came through a latest filing of GMR Infrastructure Ltd to Bombay Stock Exchange. GMR Infrastructure Ltd is involved in the infrastructural development of the airport.
The brand offers premium ice cream, specialty frozen desserts and beverages at the domestic and the international check-in counters at RGIA, spread across an area of six square meters.
Viswanath Attaluri, chief commercial officer, GHIAL, said, “The Swirl’s outlet will provide yet another option for the passangers who like to indulge in ice creams, besides Gelato and McDonalds stores.”
Launched in 2004 in India, the company currently has 51 Swirl’s parlours in India and over 500 parlours across the globe. These specialty parlours attempt to capture the ‘on the move’ consumers and are located at high footfall areas including malls and shopping centers, besides travel locations. The company also runs a different format parlour named Kwality Parlour at over 300 locations in India.
