Planet Sports, the specialty format store for sports and lifestyle products has announced a discount of upto 50 per cent on most of its major lifestyle and sports categories across all its stores in India. The product categories include casuals, footwear, apparels and sports equipments across swimming, tennis, squash, badminton, golf and basketball categories, according to a company press release.
Ravdeep Singh, CEO, Planet Sports, said, “The end-of-season sale is an ideal platform for our consumers to walk-in and experience the offerings, thereby enabling us to reach out to a wider consumer base. We are cautiously optimistic that we will maintain the same growth level as witnessed so far, despite market sentiment.”
The sale is on at all Planet Sports and Sportswarehouse stores in over 23 cities across India. Some of the international brands on sale include Adidas, Converse, Callaway, Nike, Puma, Prince, Reebok, Speedo, Spalding and Wilson, added the release.
On January 8, IndiaRetailing reported that the company is planning to open five more stores by June 2009 and is in talks with 2-3 major global brands for tie-ups to increase its sports products offerings.
