Ritu Wears, a Delhi-based leading apparel and lifestyle retailer, has opened its first store in Haryana. The newly launched store on Mathura Road in Faridabad is the 10th store of the chain, informed a top company official.
Spread across two floors with a retail space of around 30,000 square feet, Ritu Wears is the anchor store in Eldeco Section1 shopping complex in Faridabad, and retails all products of its portfolio.
Speaking to IndiaRetailing, RP Choudhary, senior manager — operation, Ritu Wears, said, “The store was scheduled to be opened a month earlier, but due to delay in store delivery by the developers, we are late by one month.”
Elaborating the expectations from the newly launched store, he added, “We do not have any defined target. We are new in this area and I hope we will do well as a number of malls are there in the adjoining areas of Eldeco. Expectation is always very much on the higher side. People have liked our products and we have a different set of merchandise as well.”
He further informed that the company is coming up with a couple of new projects, one in Jaipuria Mall at Indirapuram and another in Madhya Pradesh. “Lot many places are there in NCR to cover up. Once we open our stores in these areas, definitely we will plan further expansion to other regions like south and east India,” informed Choudhary.
However, the company is ready to expand its specialty format store through franchisee model. “If anybody seeks franchisee for our specialty format store, like the one operational in Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi which caters to casual wear for men and youth, we are open for that.”
He informed that the company has been experiencing a marginal growth across segments and it was more than double digit figure in 2008. “We have been experiencing more than double digit growth since last year. Our aim is also to develop all our brands proportionately across segments in coming years too.”
Currently Ritu Wears is operational in areas including Noida, Lajpat Nagar, Rohini, Ghaziabad and Punjab.
