Mumbai-based multiplex operator Cinemax India, a part of Kanakia Group, has opened a new multiplex in the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. With an arrangement of 1001 seats including 88 recliner seats, the Hyderabad-based three-screen multiplex is opened at RK Cineplex in the city, said the company in its latest disclosure to Bombay Stock Exchange.
The newly launched multiplex will also release two upcoming films — Chandni Chowk to China and Maska, and promises to offer out of the world cinema experience to its audience.
With this launch, the company is currently operational with 71 screens across 24 properties.
Meanwhile, the company plans to have a nationwide footprint with 85 properties and 250 screens in the next three years and as part of the plan the company will follow a strategic mix of the ownership and leasing models.
