‘Sabse Saste 3 Din’, the mega event of Kishore Biyani-led Future Group arm Big Bazaar, has started. The fourth edition of the three-day event, spreading from January 24 to January 26, will encompass108 Big Bazaar and 147 Food Bazaar stores across the country, besides other Future Group retail formats including Furniture Bazaar, Electronic Bazaar, Depot and Home Bazaar stores, informed a top company official.
Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Rajan Malhotra, president — strategy and convergence, Big Bazaar, said, “This is the largest event Big Bazaar has ever created. It is a shopping event for the consumers. Anybody can shop and get the best deals on these days across all product segments. We are expecting around 1.6 million footfalls a day from the event.”
“This year, 108 Big Bazaar and 147 Future Bazaar stores will be part of it. The forthcoming Republic Day celebration will be bigger and better than anything we have organised before,” added Malhotra.
Commenting on organising two mega events, one being the The Great Indian Shopping Festival (TGISF) which ended on January 11 and the other ‘Sabse Saste 3 Din’ to commence on January 24 in a gap of just 15 days and the prospects, he further clarified, “The two events have been organised for two different propositions. While TGISF was to showcase Future Group as a combined retail identity to the consumers, Sabse Saste 3 Din is for a different set of promotions. Republic Day also brings new set of customers. There would be some overlap, but we will have a new customer base as well.”
However, he did not comment on expected sales figures from the event.
