The Reliance-ADAG led entertainment chain Adlabs Adlabs Films, in its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, has posted a net loss of Rs 335.444 million. The company during the corresponding period in 2007 had registered a net profit of Rs 204.969 million.
However, total income of the company increased from Rs 1127.039 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 to Rs 1831.846 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, said the company in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.
According to the filing, the company further posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 268.688 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 as compared to net profit of Rs 217.272 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007. Consolidated total income has increased from Rs 1294.505 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 to Rs 2481.188 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008.
Adlabs Films, which has 181 screens in the country at present, has set for itself a target of around 300 screens by the end of this fiscal.
