Amar Chand Garg, vice chairman, PC Jewellers has been awarded with EPCES export awards 2006-07 under the gems and jewellery category.
Receiving the award Garg, stated, “It gives me immense pleasure while receiving this very prestigious award from union minister of commerce and industry Kamal Nath. EPCES export awards, instituted by Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZ Units (EPCES), are given away to promote exports and additional economic activities for earning more foreign exchange and generating employment.
PC Jewellers’ diversified ventures cover jewellery exports, premium garments, retail, whole sale of sarees, real estate and many more. The company has its flagship showroom in Karol Bagh, Delhi with other showrooms in Noida, UP, Panchkula, Haryana and Dehradun, Uttrakhand.
In the next two months, the company plans to open its showroom in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Punjab and Pitampura in Delhi. Further, by the end of year 08-09, total numbers of showrooms are likely to be over 10, disclosed a company press release.
